I'm looking for an application for Windows similar to Alfred and LaunchBar for OS X (That launches applications files via text). I've used Launchy in the past, though the software is discontinued since about 2010 (ver. 2.6 beta) and has some annoying quirks regarding icon resolutions and is missing some features. It seems to have had a few forks in the past but those seem dead as well. Powerful file/URL/email launcher utility. Create calendar events and reminders using natural language. LaunchBar Commander is a similar utility for Windows, and although it doesn't have the sleek interface or animations of the Mac dock, it works just as well at keeping our favorite things handy.
